| About Our Business Steel Cast Connections (SCC) was formed to combine highly qualified engineering skills in seismic design with over 30 years of foundry experience and is backed by extensive laboratory testing and industry support. Our low overhead approach makes it possible to achieve extensive savings on your project. William Gibb has been working at North Star Casteel Products Inc. since 1972 and has served as president and part owner since 1998. Bill has been very active in the foundry industry and while he was serving on the board of directors of the Steel Founders Society of America (SFSA), he became involved in the consortium that had been created between AISC and SFSA to develop the usage of more steel castings in the construction industry. It was suggested from these trade organizations that Bill should explore the Kaiser Bolted Bracket which is primarily made up of a casting. The result is that Bill purchased the patent and is now marketing the Bracket under the company name of Steel Cast Connections LLC. Teresa Derian has been involved in the Design/Build industry for twenty years. She began her career as a project manager in San Francisco and Woodside California. Her success at cost analysis and resource recommendations has resulted in implementation of cost saving methods for various construction projects. She has also introduced advanced construction methodologies to seasoned contractors. Terry has a talent for land development and new construction. She is currently involved in several owner builder projects in Northern California. Scott M. Adan, PhD, PE.is responsible for the structural design and project administration of large-scale building projects including high- and mid-rise commercial, healthcare, educational, residential, and parking facilities. He has extensive experience in the evaluation of structures for earthquake, wind, and blast forces. His responsibilities include client interaction, structural systems selection, contract document preparation, and construction administration. David Bleiman has been re-united with this project as a consultant in order to provide technical support and development and to add the expertise of an experienced structural engineer.
